no doubt that Doug's involvement adds to the fun. However the
correspondence with Japan Playboy (provided by Richard) is funny too.
Parties seeking information were thereby politely informed that HOW the
interview was obtained--how, where and whether Pynchon was involved--was
none of their beeswax.,Confidential. Presumably none of Japanese readers
business either.
