Great, but I'll wait for further corroboration, thanks anyway. As I've
already noted, I'm not saying that Pynchon hasn't written a foreword or that
I wouldn't welcome it if and when it does appear, only that, on past
experience, some scepticism is warranted.

Realised that myself 5 minutes after I hit "send". Of course, an editor
apparently not knowing how to spell "foreword", and Pynchon seemingly up and
jumping publishing ships, were other alarm bells. And, as I said, it's not
as though the pynchon-list isn't constantly swamped by misinformation,
attempted hoaxes and dumb troll-games.
