effect: to effect (produce, bring about) a change; immediate effects
(results); an effective speech (produces results)

affect: it affected (influenced) my grade; he spoke with an affected
(artificial) British accent.

so much fun except if you can't accept the unused capital of words at
the Capitol by the W bleating in the bushies about some war in the
desert that has been deserted by the old european peacemongering french
who say, "let them eat rice pudding and cakes and french pastries for
dessert" and take counsel from the council of conciliatory frogs who
cite resolutions but have none. weeeee, respect our veto inspect the
sites and disarm with U2 sightings and lose the attitude and loose
cannon. nothing personal, but your personnel are hawks with oil in
their eyes and weeeee, we advise the people of Iraq to beware of
Americans bearing presents unless you can bare their presence for a long
long time. Weeee are french and so this is matter of principal arguments
and the principles of economics and not quite so easily quieted or quit.
Now than, then their there is here too, you hear, you here to care
weather it be bad or good to go to war?
