wanted us all to read these stories and you have
nothing at all to say about Low-lands. there are
derrida lists, there are nabokov lists, there are 
gaddis lists. and this is the pynchon list. or it was.

hey, i got no problem discussing any of this other
shit, but jeeeez, you boys set this up and you seem
most reluctant to talk about the stories we are
supposed to be reading. so where does that put us?
name calling. arguments about news stories and what's
on the tube? posting an article in japanese doesn't
much count. if i could get it i could have it
translated, but how can i know if it's worth the time
and effort? 
why did Quail even bother? he did a great job, but we
just never picked up the ball. it's easy to ignore
doug  when we want to and we probably have to cause
his humorless threats might be serious, but we can't
ignore pynchon. well, we can and we are, but we
shouldn't. 

is there another pynchon list?
