I'm sorry you wasted my time and I'm sorry I wasted
your time but it's fairly obvious that this thread was
just cock fight. 

I've no doubt that you have a sense of humor and I
appreciate that, but this list lost it's sense of
humor when Doug threatened to call the police on me.
This list, as far as I'm concerned, is mostly a cock
fight. I think that can change, but those that want
this list to function need to stop trying to figure
out who is tossing the cocks in the ring and find a
way to talk about Pynchon. That we have a Pynchon list
that is dominated by NP posts is our own fault. The
list owners can't even stop Doug from threatening
people with attorneys and the police so they certainly
won't put an end to the NP posts.  Frankly, I think
you tossed a cock in the ring when you posted "more
Bush Nazi connection."  It wasn't a new article. There
was nothing added. The on-line Bush-bashing conspiracy
book has been discussed on this list several times. In
fact, you took part in those discussions. 


I really do know quite a lot about the subject.  I
made my living as a researcher on Wall Street for
several years. I don't know what you know about firms
like BBH, but you should know that they have private
libraries and that research is their bread and butter.


To an outsider, like the Bush-Bashing conspiracy
hounds or the radical leftovers of the radical Left,
Wall Street is a movie about Greed or a book by Thomas
Wolfe. You can read hundreds of books on Wall Sreet. I
can suggest a few if you're interested. You can read
Barrons on the Weekends, the WSJ everyday, watch Wall
Street Week on the Tube, talk to friends that work on
The Street, but there is only one way to know a place
like BBH, that's from the inside. 

A small "shop" or "boutique"
like BBH has to complete with the giant underwriters
and warehouses.   Financing, Capital Markets, Private
Placements, Underwriting, Security Lending, Etc., is
not a business that anyone can get into if they have
enough money. You need to have powerful partners. Bear
Stearns was a partnership. It was successful. It got
big. It went public. But it's partners are still what
keeps them in the flow. BBH, a small, private firm,
needs a niche and it needs powerful partners.
Political connections are paramount. Size does matter
on The Street and BBH is very small. They can't
warehouse billions of dollars in securities. They
can't hire thousands of MBAs to sit at desks and trade
everything from Aluminum to Z- traunch CMOs. They need
to be specialists at something. BBH is a research
specialist. If you went to work at BBH your friends
would make jokes about your working for the Nazi
laundry mat and you would become more curious about
this story. And if you worked in the private libraries
of  private White Shoe firms you would have the
opportunity to look into these stories. The earth
shaking new revelations and MORE connections stuff in
The Secret War Against The Jews and the other
so-called earth shattering secrets uncovered books and
articles are not news, they are bull shit.
