am reading _Vineland_ again (first re-read since i read it on publication)
ahead of the VLVL and was surprised by what appears an obvious connection
between Hector and Richard Farina - made eerie by the beer-riders midnight
madness. have we examined this relation on the list (in the last VLVL,
perhaps?) I did a cursory search of the archives but came up with zotz. just
curious, as it seemed to scream out at me this time.
i know in the past many (er, some) have suggested Zoyd = Pynchon, an avenue
of investigation that would be strengthened to some extent if Hector =
Farina.

a-and is anyone else weirded out by the fact that Zoyd is 'Zoyd Herbert
"Dubya"?'
