VLVL2 (1) warm-up: Dedication

I have been fascinated to learn that _Pale Fire_ has a
dedication, too, and that it, in some ways, resembles
Pynchon's dedication to _Vineland_.  This
Nabokov-on-the-P-list discussion shows real promise!

FWIW on the _Vineland_ dedication tip, I have heard
speculation that it suggests some sort of
reconciliation between Pynchon and his family of
origin, after a long period of estrangement.  I don't
know if this is true or not, but I did hear it from a
scholar who has immersed himself in the available
facts about Pynchon's biography.
