I once had Bruce Campbell sign four separate copies of
his autobiography for myself and three nonpresent
friends, and he eerily managed to nail precisely which
of his apparently standard dedications would best fit
and/or most delight each recipient ("Gimme some sugar,
baby!," "Groovy!," "Workshed!," et al.) ...

I also made Daniel Clowes sign copies of the Ghost
World graphic novel precisely at the panel featuring
his comic book store signing session therein ...
