So, a rumor that was disavowed by Nabokov himself
provides the justification for a Nabokov discussion on
Pynchon-L, while Pynchon's pointing out that the Bush
and bin Laden families are in business together, or
calling the Bush Administration neofascist -- just to
mention a couple of recent examples -- does not
justify a discussion of those issues and how they
might be reflected in Pynchon's writings. Interesting
logic.
