be many reasons for this--Pynchon wasn't an arts student was he?   He was 
likely quiet and intimidated; we're talking about a college student who didn't

Those are two out of thousands of the many tedious things you've posted that 
bear some relevance to TP.

We're trying to read a book here.   Why not just go away?
