Following this came your denial, then I sent along the
first such discussion on Pynchon-L (back in '95).
Pynchon's status as a student of Nabokov, what Nabokov
said about it, what Vera said about it -- it's all
been discussed before on Pynchon-l, in the context of
a discussion about Pynchon, just as I said. 

Perhaps your indulgence in bile yesterday shook loose
something besides your bookmark?
