But it's also the one Pynchon novel that hasn't been
covered in my stint here.  Oh, yeah, I can see the
potential for ugliness, but that'd be true of a cereal
box here.  Though I still feel bad about the short
shrift we ultimately give Slow Learner.  First 9/11 at
the outset of M&D, then Afghanistan and Iraq along the
way during SL.  Stop the world, I want to read
Pynchon.  But do have a "Foreword" to catch up on ...
