I've advocated for years that Pynchon-L should be
moderated; everybody would have to avoid the
unpleasant excesses in which everybody here engages,
and the discussion would remain focused on Pynchon.
What's wrong with that?
And, yes, there was quite a bit of offlist discussion
about the way you and the Gang of Five have smothered
the Foreword group reading. It's been obvious that
you guys tired of it quickly, and now you're trying to
force a new, NP discussion. I'd say this makes you
all look pretty darn hypocritical, given the way you
whine about so-called "NP" posts from me and others --
we don't hear that kind of whining from you when fq
passes along some daily news nuggets, for example.
But, as you say, it's an unmoderated list. Post as
you like.
