In James Wood's new (first and only so far) novel, _The Book Against
God_, this widespread belief of human kind is the only proof of His
existence that is worthy of modern consideration. A very theological
novel.Have not finished it yet. I picked it to read because of Wood's
critical writings on various authors' including Pynchon.
