Man, I *rely* on that! I *always* scarf up a few cheapie "Mason & Dixon"
copies and then give them to my friends, neighbors, associates, family,
coworkers.... I swear, I think everyone I know well has a hardcover M&D. I
figure one of the is bound to read it sooner or later....
(And actually, one friend finally *did* read it, a fellow who never read
Pynchon before. His review? "Hard and kind of wacky, but pretty fucking
cool.")
