It's obvious that you understood me. But how? I'd
taken a position opposed to yours. I'd stated that no
linguist in the world supports your claim. I repeated
that assertion, but omitted the word "not" and used
"that." You understood me. Because language doesn't
work the way you think it does. It's far more complex.

What word are you reading instead of "benefit"? 
No word is even remotely close benefit/benifit. So how
could you misread it? There are lots of words with
alternative spellings. 

Your objection is nothing more than a ploy. You're
implying that from the context of my general remarks
one can assume that I was intending to make some point
about English phonetics. That's a dodge.
