When I joined the list, I suggested that Pynchon may be a fellow
in an arcane space, and knowing me would help "recover the author"
so I feel obliged to offer some opinion about, "Is this Pynchon?"
The only part of the article that stuck out for me was this line:
> Although my thoughts are always paranoid,
> I believe that I'm the only one who feels this way.
Since I have felt places in Pynchon's writing reveal an insight
to this taboo domain that I exposit, then the true Pynchon would
believe himself to be alone, a paladin of novel unsharable truth.
Of course, the article does not convey to me any sense of a true
psychological paranoia, but paranoia is a conventional attribute
of abjectified spaces, probably arising from an early mis-en-bas,
or existential crisis in our domain, that eventually is outgrown.
BTW, I just finished a new KWIC program, and applied it to my cache
for the query term pynchon. So check out my new Pynchon links page!
