<<Still, it's funny the way you guys present as unable
to decipher Pynchon's Foreward, yet never hesitate to
pontificate on the meaning of the murkiest passages in
Pynchon's fiction. Does your brains somehow stop
working when you try to read his non-fiction?>>
A. I can't speak for Paul or Terrance or whoever else
you see me in cahoots with, but your saying I "never
hesitate to pontificate ..." etc. is baseless.
And however funny you find it, the exchange on the
meaning of the passage in question has been going on
for two days now, with no consensus among some eight
or so respondents as to what precisely he's saying.
Some respondents have celebrated Pynchon's intentional
ambiguity.
You would seem to be one of the few who find it
crystal clear. Interesting that you've offered not a
word as to what it is he is saying.
