>>>Sarcasm on this point from someone who quite astutely
pointed out just how that Lord 'n' Lady Lepton chpater
of Mason & Dixon echoes a section of The Chemical
Wedding of Chrsitian Rosenkrantz?<<<

I wasn't being sarcastic. terrance is not just making the point you are
attributing to him. I do think you are missing what terrance is doing.

>>> Which ain't much mentioned in M&D, by the way, though I've no doubt
either that Rosicrucianism is one of the meny elementsin the novel.<<<

Not much but it is mentioned directly. And I do not attribute my
associations with Pynchon. I think they are my playful and entertaining
associations. My additions all the way.

>>>But I'm honestly convinced that y'all can quite plainly see
for yrselves all those little things Paul 'n' Doug 'n'
Otto and myself et al. have been pointing out, you
guys are just being particularly contrarian simply in
order to get a rise out of one or the other of us ...<<<

I keep re-reading the foreword, and I don't see it. No point in going round
and round about it anymore. I find these accusations about how those who
differ are just being obstinate because we can't see the obviosity of your
position are pretty lame.
