I plead guilty. I did not expect that "my reading" of those parts of the
foreword we're talking about could be so controversial. On the other hand I
remember that during the MDDM-reading Rob offered a (to me) pretty
convincing interpretation of those italicised "you's" claiming that every
"you" stands for Dixon whipping the slave-driver, although this wasn't
obvious from the text.
