Yep. Sounds very similar. Everything old is new again. In any event,
Barbatuques has a unique sound which may or may not be derivative of
Hambone. The group uses interesting vocal sounds (perhaps derivative of
Al Jareau?) along with the Juba. Very impressive when done in a
synchronized group. I hope they can come to the United States soon, or
else I'm off to Brazil. V.
