Again, food is a common motif in Pynchon's works, often used as a means to convey characterization (the hilarious wine jellies scene and the Scab Scallops scene in GR come most immediately to mind).  Has anyone tried to trace this motif through this novel, or any other of P's works?

Types of food that characters eat, or are associated with?

Foods associated with locations, places of employment, etc.?

Foods associated with names of characters?

Pynchon-created foods?
