Compulsive dream - Shape of Knowledge.

I'm back on the daily commute again, so Friday at 2 AM
I should be nothing but dead to the world. Instead, I
was tossing, trying to wake up, yet go back to recover
some concept I felt had to be told on the Pynchon list.

It was something about topology of knowledge domains,
or literary texts, and had this name: "Edge Effects".

And semi-awake I recovered several examples to share:

In Jack and the Beanstalk, neither Jack's environment
nor the Giant's are particularly interesting, worthy
of stories. But the junction of the two domains by a
magical beanstalk makes them of great interest.

Similarly shaped is the UFO boarding 747 on page 64 of
Vineland, drawing together Takeshi's and Zoyd's worlds.

I compared that shape to the matter of a desirous gaze.

I received one such in the dentist's office last week:
Coal black eyes that I caught when something caused me
to turn from walking away to perceive the furtive gaze.

That linkage turns that office scene from a disposable
memory, fait accompli, into a moment: an anchor to its
companion moment, a tantric meditation yet un-enacted.

This, and greater, change irruptions in the world state,
are what lead me to conclude that AF tantric meditation
actually effect those irruptions in a retro-causal way.

(Although this other link recently shared on the P list,

gives ammo to explain that away as hypersensitivity to
everpresent cues, especially if projecting sexuality,
and reduces magik to knee-jerk behavioristic reaction.)

And therein is claimed that gnostic-elite versus pretereist
differences must produce a mastery versus slaved difference.
Such a proposal omits the one significant alternative I ken:

harping, the self-intersecting speech act of autofellatio
produced immediately for me a psychosis, and I say grounds
all accounts of religious metanoia, katabasis, metamorphosis.

This self-intersection is the word which is itself, the name
that is no sign, the oneing of the axis mundi, which changes
oneself from a N dimensional being into a boundary of an N+1
dimensional being, like a Klein bottle, where every extreme
opposite pair comes infinitesimally close as the individual's
inside and outside become one side, everywhere and inseparable.

This portal reaches the entire universe directly, from within.
The loss of ego boundary also makes one constantly relenting,
to not seek outward mastery over others, who are also inside!

This alternate possibility is not considered at all in the
White document, and I think deflates, or could re-inform it.

That must be what I was meant to recover for you Pynchoneers.
