Takeshi is described as taking all kinds of drugs all of the time, of
course. I don't believe he's literally "floating" in the airport, and the
text says "glided" anyway (it could quite easily be that he's wearing lifts
in his shoes, or, more likely, it's the narrator's jokey way of describing
Takeshi's physical and psychological condition). I don't think there's
anything in the text which throws into question those events described on
pp. 158-61, any more so than those described anywhere else.
