Sure, but I don't think that Chez Ed can be read as Chesed. It's a nick
name for a Czech motorbike and that's what DL is riding. Not the most
popular bike in the USA at the time, but that seems to be the point. In
the 80s she's driving a Trans AM. 

Why is DL riding a Communist bike? 

Why are Rick and Chick dealing with Vato and Blood in Communist car
parts? 

Why are all the cars in the Log Jam parking lot Japanese and German? 

Why were Vato and Blood doing business with the Communists in Vietnam? 

Why (top of page 125) does Moody call DL a Communist too? 

Mystifying. But not that mystifying. It's about WORK. Jobs. Business
more or less.
