Kahuna is too cheap to buy insurance against intruders?
Is Gretchen talking in "careful euphemisms" (61) here?
Corporate/legal euphemisms?
"high-impact shields, all business."
Historically, the law permitted the creation of an artificial being -
a corporation -, which existed only in contemplation of the law.
This fictional entity was liable for certain acts rather than the
individuals who operated the corporation. The concept of
limited liability - the corporate shield - is a fundamental tenet of
corporate law and was created to encourage entrepreneur ship.
Recall that when R-24 and Prairie pitch the violence theme park
business plan to Zoyd and Zoyd says the bank will take his house,
Prairie and I-24 argue that Zoyd is a local businessman. Zoyd is an
entrepreneur, but he doesn't want to admit it or he doesn't know what it
means.
Anyone got a copy of Black's Law Dictionary?
