lemniscate and bicycling

Whoa dudes, I'm not much up on math--apolly-wollys, etc.

But--from what I understand of the lemiscate figure, it's very close to 
the outline of a butterfly,
though with a pronounced bulge in the middle,
the body or thorax of the insect.  

Nabakov:  Butterflies.  What a coup if he's written a butterfly-shaped poem.
