That's the url for Amazon.com's Search Inside the Book
page from _Positively 4th Street: The Lives and Times
of Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, Mimi Baez Farina and Richard
Farina_ by David Hajdu, where the author speaks of his
interview (yep, that's the word Hajdu uses, and I
trust him to know what he was doing) with Pynchon:
"The quotes from Thomas Pynchon are from an interview
with Pynchon conducted by fax, as well as from letters
from Pynchon to Mimi Fariña."
It's a welcome correctio to the mistaken notion,
promulgated mindlessly on Pynchon-L and elsewhere,
that Pynchon "never" grants interviews.

That's the page where Hajdu thanks Pynchon for the
interview:
"Thomas Pynchon let me in, answering all my questions.
No words are adequate to thank him."
If for some reason the urls don't work, you can find
and read all of the Pynchon references in Hajdu's book
on Amazon.com. Links to the book's 28 references to
Pynchon begin here:
<http://www.amazon.com/gp/reader/086547642X/102-4231676-5410525?%5Fencoding=UTF8&resultsPage=1&keywords=Pynchon&v=search-inside>
And if that url doesn't work, search for Hajdu's book
and take it from there.
