Not surprising you find it "wise,"; it's your notion,
not his.

You, it seems, believe that fear of being gainsaid is
fair reason to shut up and admire Pynchon for the
cravenness you ascribe to him.

Because he says what you claim he said (if he, in fact
said it) couched in allusion within an essay otherwise
about Orwell and WWII.

Someone can’t effectively write both fiction and
contemporary essays, you’re saying.  Either/or not
both/and, you mean.
