Just want to clarify something here, Karl Bopp's scene is set in 1984,
although he's been around for a while. The connection I'll try to make
is between crime legislation passed under Reagan and Nixon. A lot of
this has been covered by Thoreen and others in the Oaky Law Journal
essays, but those essays are, at times, more inter/extra/intra-textual
than what we're about here this time around.
