Or Stuyvesant, Rachel's father, who  molested her when she was a young,
his name is Stuyvesant (named after the Dutchman who persecuted
Jews--Brazilian Jews to boot). Rachel likes to drive her car down the
blocks where his office is located and smack it up a bit. Her father
wears very expensive designer suits. Critics have been too 
easy on Sphere, some have made him into a positive black man in V., some
have attributed the "Keep Cool But Care" philosophy to him, but of
course it's Paola's philosophy. Sphere wears the same expensive designer
suits that Stuyvesant wears and he drives the same fancy sports car
Rachel drive when he goes up town (NYC, Harlem) to cry like a baby in
the arms of his Maltese whore, Paola. Paola speaks many tongues and can
slip into and out of ethnicity and color roles. Sphere is satirized like
the rest. He's sick.
