The NYT Travel has some cool stuff on CA, great surfing. A new film,
Riding Giants. 

I'm so not convinced that the names on the buildings at the College of
the Surf have nothing to do with the conflict between surfers and the
military industrial complex of the Nixon years. 

In fact, one of the themes we have neglected here is the Land theme.
They never did build that gym in Harlem.
