Thanks for this notice.  A well-written book about Earl Long is of great 
interest to me, and especially to my wife also (a rare convergence).  My 
wife (who grew up in Monroe, LA) is forever telling folks the true story of 
her sitting on "Uncle Earl's" lap at the age of five in her grandparents 
home, telling him how she wanted a horse, but not getting anywhere with this 
request from her parent/grandparents.  When Uncle Earl died a few years 
later he left his "pea-patch horse" to her in his will.

I think I'll be getting this book for her right away.
