They do seem to be standing a fair amount of the time. I remember I once
told Charles what did he care if I didn't like his stuff, there were
plenty of p-listers who ate it up.
It might have been a father/son thing except I was the senile old Dad
who needed to be enlightened.
Charles needs some peer relationships in his life. I'm suprised the
Pynchon Notes people don't urge more discipline on him.
