swamps us with complexity -- Immanuel Kant, calculus
or Thomas Pynchon. Our social lives being extensions
of our ambitions, we crave more than just "the
hook-up." Dining-hall fare, electoral politics and The
Daily are too predictable to cause trepidation. But
romance is horrifically inconstant, endlessly
questionable -- it is the ultimate food for thought.
