He understood that it was accidental not malign. 

What he didn't understand was why some creep with a
threatening name was sending him email and addressing
him with his real name. I told him not to worry about
it, if it continued we'd get AOL to stop it, and, sure
enough, AOL is happy to help if necessary.

Anyway, thanks again for respecting my request that
you not bother him any more. I'd appreciate it, too,
if you wouldn't mention him anymore on Pynchon-L, OK?
I'm sure you can easily find other targets for your
child sexual abuse jokes.
