We may want to take a closer look at the deal Zoyd makes with Brock,
Hector, Frenesi, ... others ( possibly Sasha?) and what motivates each
of these characters.  I don't think the deal is Brock's alone. Why does
Brock go mad when he finds out about the baby? Why does Frenesi run out
on her child? Why does Sasha tell Zoyd to go up to Vineland? Why does
Hector run this marriage errand? So on.
