The consolation is that it is only four more years. Yes, he's going to do a
lot more damage. With the necessity of re-election no longer hanging over
his head, maybe he'll just take enough rope and do himself in quicker. The
grubs and dung beetles in his sickly entourage may wither and die in the
light once their rocks are overturned. We survived Reagan. We can survive
this. Probably not all of us, but most of us.
