Strangely enough I was just now trying to hunt down the origin of a version
of the old music hall song Side by Side which goes -
Well I woke up early one morning
Fell in love without warning
So me and ol Lou
Got married at two
Side by side
We was just getting ready for bed when
I nearly fell dead from the shock when
Her teeth and her hair
She placed on the chair
Side by side
Then off came her wooden leg, glass eye and all
Together with a pair of falsies she placed on the chair by the door
I was most broken hearted
Most of me wife had departed
So I sat on the chair
Coz there was more of her there
Side by side
I know it isn't what yr after Barbara but you might consider it as a
substitute.
Cheers
Mike
