Pardon me for stating overtly what you admit further down in your post:

But stating this observation does not make one a troll (except maybe to you,
because you were the one who deemed it a worthy subject. BTW, if you did
deem me such a creature, you broke the cardinal rule by responding to my
comments.)
The "scare" quotes also are not the makings of trolls per se. They quite
simply denote my opinion of the value of this genre of "witting" on a list
devoted to fictional literature. The purpose of this list is for expression
of opinions, is it not? So your calling me a troll is really more an
example of bad behavior on your part than was my expressing my opinion here.
As for the "accusation" of hero worship, it's more accurate to call it a
conjecture. I suppose there might be other reasons one might be interested
in the writings of a technical manual, world-wide considered one of the
least enjoyable genres in existence. If the postings you sent of them broke
that rule then they might have provided a reason to consider them
interesting, but IMO they don't.
