Huh? Okay ...

Er, you do realize that "his" refers to Robt. there,
right? Having trouble making sense of this ...

What, M&D? Or "Togetherness"? Both are, and I'm
hardly alone even in the latter case. What's of
particular interest to me in that Wisnicki article
beyond the continued trickle-down of info about
Pynchon hisself is the identification of what
constitutes, I don't know, the Pynchonian in writing.
This has been of no small interest to yr Pynchon fans.
Whatever one has to say about l'affaire Tinasky, the
exercise was at least productive along such lines as
well ...

Whose "cardinal rule"? One guy's? Me, I respond to
pretty much anything that has my name in it, you know
that, y'all know that.

No, but they are pretty sterotypical of yr (your, yr,
y'all's, whoever's) "sniffy dismissals" (ooh,
self-reflexvity ...) 'round these parts. As are my
"folksy" (scared? huh? huh? well, okay then ...)
apostrophes and (self-reflexive or otherwise)
parenthetical comments in responding to them.

Huh?

On a list ostensibly, at least, established to discuss
the writings of one Thomas Ruggles Pynchon (1939 -
present). He's written a little nonfiction, as you
might not care to discuss, but ...

I hear they at least pay you here ...

http://www.epinions.com/

But in the fine tradition of bad teenage rhetoric
there, David, yr "lofty ideal" followed by yr
rhetorical question (reminds me of a bit of graffiti
that really pisses me off every time I take a whiz at
the coffee shop: "And love has to do with humor,
doesn't it?" Always want to slap the kid who wrote
that, just for being a ponce ...) ...

No, my not calling you a troll, as I decidedly, er
(another textual tic of mine), didn't do, is really
more an example of me calling you on your bad behavior
than an expression of my particular opinion ...

It's more accurate to call it ... well, crap, I don't
know what, 'cos it's just so damn weird to me to see
(a) anyone talking about hero-worshipping someone
about whom so very little is known, and (b) to
nonetheless see someone here have a problem with
anyone being a big fan of the guy whose work is the
titular topic of this list. That being said, I
suppose I WON'T be sending along the What Would
Pynchon Do? t-shirt/bumber-sticker set this Xmas ....

Trust me, there's nothing more appreciated in some
quarters than an enjoyably-written technical manual.
Recall comments made in that Wisnicki article ...

Er, what rule was that again? Or is this a different
one? But i do have one last one to fire off, so ...

And then there's them abbrevimiations ...
