Hmmm. I've always thought that the best hangover prevention (besides
moderation) was plenty of water along side of those drinks. Flushing away
those toxins in the booze along with re-hydration will reduce the hangover,
which is best practiced before going to sleep, and ideally by a good gulp of
water between drinks. Your cure is more of a cover-up of the hangover's
symptoms, especially the antihistamine part which both reduces the alergic
reaction side of the hangover and causes sleepiness. If one has the luxury
of sleeping through a hangover, that is ideal. Usually I have to work
through any hangover that's got me in its grips. In that case I usually try
a course of both sweating it out through aerobics and a steam room followed
by LOTS of water.
