In the Greek translation of Vineland, the reference to "The Return of 
the Jedi" was rendered as "The Return of the Yeti". Obviously, the 
translator had never seen any of the Star Wars movies.

And one of my own: in one of the songs in GR, I mistook "hookah" for 
"hooker" and translated accordingly.

My bad.
