Nice post, jbor. 

I suspect that Pynchon worked several layers of
reference  and allusion into the Kenosha Kid sequence.
Or, maybe he wrote it straight out of a dream, or a
Surrealist automatic writing exercise, or on LSD, or
God knows what.   Glad he did it, no matter how it
happened.

I wonder, can this publication be considered a
"source" absent some definitive link to Pynchon. I'd
be surprised if it turned out he hadn't seen it, but
knowing for sure seems problematic.
