Well, I think that Kenosha Kid link is pretty solid.
It's an odd phrase simply to have dreamed up. One has
to detect most of Pynchon's sources by inference, of
course, the novels hardly come annotated, and even
"confirmed" sources sometimes come so second hand.
But I'm curious as to what if anything might come of
actually reading that story. Pauls ...? Thanks ...
But, hey, Robt., do note that at least yr archnemesis
here (me, I woul dream of presuming to assume that
mantle) doesn't take virtually every post to run the
ol' metal detector over what may well be buried
hatchets. And you know full well that the Holocaust
is hardly unalluded to in (for starters) Gravity's
Rainbow (not to mention its prequel of sorts, V.) ...
