Die Science Faction des Thomas Pynchon

Terrance once said that Pynchon's German "sucks" because Pynchon had
answered in that famous letter to Thomas F. Hirsch in 1969: "my German
being nearly nonexistent" (David Seed, 1988, p. 240-41).

But he said that about the time he wrote "V." and in 1969 while writing "GR"
it should've been a little bit better after all those books about Germany
and, I suppose, many of them in German.

Tim Ware provides this website:

and I never took the time looking for bigger mistakes in Pynchon's German.
But what always struck me was his use of the word "Bundestag" (p. 158:
Federal Parliament) in Leni's dream. It should've been "Reichstag" (not only
at the time of the analepsis but of the whole novel) a term he uses
correctly on p. 368, but here the building is meant.
