A Historical Novel of a New Sort

One in particular.  Between that and work, that's kept
me (for better or worse ...) from posting on those
liner notes for a week or so now (tomorrow, tomorrow,
there's always tomorrow ...).  On the other hand, I've
been invited to be an honorary lady for a "Ladies DJ
Night," as apparently some of the ladies are snowed in
here (I dunno, the bus ran fine for me this morning in
the worst of it), and other ladies aren't available. 
so, ironically, it could conceivably be me and (vs.?)
the one who called to harangue.  As it was last night.
   Beacuse tonight had to be rescheduled.  Because of
"Ladies' Night."  And I wanted to see Chinatown at the
local "revival house" or whatever, but ... but in the
grand tradition of European "black" (R&B, soul, funk)
vs. "white" (beat, freakbeat, psychdelia) DJs (what if
yr spinning Jimi Hendrix?  Or The Equals?  Or ...) ...
so i'm a British raised French educated
African-American female DJ ...
