Read any and all Ginzburg, though The Cheese and the
Worms remains my favorite. Along those lines, see as
well, say, David Sabean's Power in the Blood (early
modern German wackiness abounds) and/or Judith Brown's
Immodest Acts: The Life of a Lesbian Nun in
Renaissance Italy. And I've only read The Telephone
Book, great indee, so aybe I'll finally move on. And
I'm always up for some Jesuitry, so ... so, okay, back
to ...
