You're prob. basically right, but I'd still wager (a safe bet, no doubt,  
since there's no way to prove) he checks once in a while...just out of  
curiosity. The guy's human, as you imply...I suppose I might be projecting, but  in his 
place I'd be curious; wouldn't you? Occasionally?
