But me, I'm not buying it.  Looks too recent, esp.
given the subject's apparent age, the nose is of
course different, the eybrows don't quite match,
either, the teeth look straight-up photoshopped (or
whatever) in, do note that Pynchon's in the picture
below aren't quite so cartoonishly bucktoothed, he has
others next to them, has anyone bothered to
transl(iter)ate those characters (Chinese?  Japanese?
the latter, I suspect, but ...)?  What does it say
directly below them?  Hell, I don't even recall much
seeing t-shirts with those triangular inserts @ the
collar 'til ca. 1990 ...

But I can't even find an NP rumor, so ...
